New contract promo

One free month of mowing with every maintenance contract

When you sign a Ponderosa maintenance contract, the last mowing of your first four weeks is on us. No catch, no add-on fees — just a thank-you for choosing us. This offer stacks with our new-client discount and our military/senior pricing.

Overview

What lawn mowing looks like with Ponderosa

Weekly lawn mowing is the most-bought service in Colorado Springs and the most-neglected. Dull blades tear grass instead of cutting it. Decks set too low stress the plant. Clippings bagged and hauled means you paid twice for the nitrogen you just took off your lawn.

We mow Kentucky bluegrass at 3 inches in summer and 2.5 in fall, fescues a quarter-inch higher, and buffalo grass on demand only. Blades are sharpened every two weeks during peak season. Clippings stay on the lawn unless you specifically ask for bagging. We're in and out in 20–35 minutes on a typical lot and you get a photo summary before we leave the driveway.

Want the same manicured look seven days a week without a weekly truck in your driveway? Our new AI robotic mowing service is launching in 2026 — quiet, autonomous, under 62 dB, and maintained entirely by our team.

What every lawn mowing job includes.

No hidden line-items. If it isn't in your estimate, we tell you before we do it — not after.

  • Mow, string-trim, edge along walks and driveways, blow clippings off hard surfaces
  • Mulched clippings returned to the lawn (bagging available on request)
  • Blade sharpening every 2 weeks — you'll see the difference in the cut
  • Deck height matched to your grass type and the season
  • Photo summary sent after every visit (opt-out anytime)
  • Rain skip: we hold mowing if the lawn is saturated, rescheduled within 3 days
  • Sharp-edged stripes (optional) on request
  • Fence-gate respect — gates closed, dogs protected, nothing left open
  • Spring dethatch + aeration + overseed package
  • Six-step fertilization program

How we get there.

The same 5-step rhythm on every lawn mowing project we take on.

  1. 01

    Property audit

First visit we walk the lawn, note grass species, flag any trouble spots (bare patches, grub damage, vole runs), and set the optimal mowing height.

  2. 02

    Weekly rhythm

Same day each week during Apr–Oct. We mow, trim, edge, blow, and photo — usually in 20–35 minutes.

  3. 03

    Blade discipline

Blades are sharpened on a strict 2-week schedule. Dull blades tear grass, which invites disease and gives the lawn a ragged look you can see from across the yard.

  4. 04

    Seasonal adjustments

Heights go up in heat, back down into fall. We never cut more than 1/3 of the blade in a single pass (the one-third rule).

  5. 05

    End-of-season

Last mowing is usually end of October at 2 inches, followed by dethatch or aeration as scheduled. Winterization shuts the lawn down for the year.

Questions we get a lot.

If you don't see your question, give us a call or send a note. Most emails get answered the same business day.

What's the promo exactly?

Sign a Ponderosa maintenance contract and the last mowing of your first four weekly visits is free. If you sign on a Tuesday, the mowing you'd normally be billed for on the fourth Tuesday is $0. It's one free month of mowing, offered once per new contract.

Can I just get mowing without a full maintenance contract?

Yes. Mow-only clients are billed per visit with no contract. The free-month promo is exclusive to full maintenance contracts.

What if it rains on my day?

We'll skip if the lawn is too wet (mowing a saturated lawn compacts the soil and leaves ruts). Skipped visits are rescheduled within 3 days. You're only billed for visits that happen.

Do you mow weekly or bi-weekly?

Weekly is our default April through October. Bi-weekly is available but not recommended — you'll end up removing more than the one-third rule allows and the lawn will stress.

How does your promo stack with the military/senior discount?

The free-month promo stacks with our always-on 10% military and senior discounts. It does not stack with the 10% new-client discount (the free month is the better deal there).

When does the free month show up on my bill?

Your fourth weekly invoice is $0 for the mowing line. Any other services that day (edging extras, bagging, etc.) are still billed.
