A plan for every week of the Colorado year.
Mowing, pruning, fertilization, pest monitoring, and seasonal transitions — on a schedule you can set your watch to. Three tiers, no surprise invoices.
What landscape maintenance looks like with Ponderosa
The hardest part of a great landscape is keeping it great. Our maintenance contracts are built around weekly visits during the growing season and calendar-driven service the rest of the year. You don't have to remember when to dethatch, when to pre-emerge, or when to shut down the irrigation. We do.
Every Ponderosa maintenance client gets a digital service log — every visit timestamped, every task checked off, every note about something that needs attention. No guessing whether the lawn guy showed up. You'll see the photo before you see the invoice.
What every landscape maintenance job includes.
No hidden line-items. If it isn't in your estimate, we tell you before we do it — not after.
- Weekly visits April through October (bi-weekly available)
- Spring start-up: dethatch, aerate, overseed, bed cleanout, mulch refresh
- Mid-season: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, bed weeding
- Six-step fertilization program timed to Colorado's growing season
- Monthly bed inspection and hand-weeding
- Pest and disease monitoring (IPM — treat only when needed)
- Fall cleanup: leaf removal, perennial cutback, bulb planting
- Irrigation blow-out and system shutdown in October
- Detailed service log with photos after every visit
- A single point of contact — no call centers, no ticket numbers
How we get there.
The same 5-step rhythm on every landscape maintenance project we take on.
-
01
Property audit
Before your first visit we walk the property, document plant inventory, photograph every zone, and build a year-round care calendar specific to your yard.
-
02
Match a tier
Essential, Gold, or Platinum — based on how involved you want us to be. Easy to move up mid-season.
-
03
Weekly rhythm
Growing season: weekly visits on the same day each week. Shoulder season: bi-weekly or monthly depending on tier.
-
04
Seasonal milestones
Spring start-up, mid-summer deep care, fall cleanup, winterization. Each is scheduled and billed as a package, not tacked onto the weekly invoice.
-
05
Annual review
Every November we sit down with you, review the year, adjust for what worked or didn't, and renew for the following season.
Honest numbers before you sign.
These are the ranges we see on most Colorado Springs projects. Your written estimate will be precise, line-item, and valid for 30 days.

Questions we get a lot.
If you don't see your question, give us a call or send a note. Most emails get answered the same business day.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Maintenance is contracted annually so we can build your service calendar and reserve crew time. You can cancel with 30 days' notice for any reason.
Can I do my own mowing and have you do the bed work?
Yes. We offer a bed-only tier at $145/month that covers weeding, pruning, fertilization, and seasonal transitions without touching the lawn.
What counts as 'extra' work?
Storm cleanup, tree removal, large pruning (over 4 hours), gutter cleaning, and holiday lighting are quoted separately. Everything else is in your tier.
Do you do organic-only lawn care?
Yes. Organic programs cost about 25% more and take a season to show results, but they work. Let us know at intake.
When does the season start and end?
Start-up happens the first week of April or as soon as snow permits. Winterization wraps by October 31. Plowing and snow removal are a separate service.
Can I add a free month of mowing?
Yes — when you sign a maintenance contract, the last mowing of your first four weeks is on us. See our mowing page for the full promo.
